The UKENGEE Foundation

The Dutch Foundation Ukengee targets on installing computers and launching internet in secondary schools in the Lindi-district in the south of Tanzania, because internet is extremely important for education, emancipation and information. Also, the computerlabs are avaiable to the local population. This will change the existing information gap in Tanzania and contribute to the development of these disadvantaged areas.
Ukengee uses high-quality, new equipment, specially designed for devolping countries in areas where no mains is.

At this moment Ukengee realized six projects in
Kilma Masoko, Mandawa, Lindi, Ilulu, Mahiwa and Nkowe.
More than 9.000 students have access to computer-education since 2009.

Ukengee hopes to fundraise enough for two new computerlabs in Mbekenyera and Nachingwea.
