* Leontien van Moorsel and Ed Nijpels are Ambassador of the Ukengee Foundation.
Leontien is a wellknown former cyclist with 6 Olympic medals (4 golden, 1 silver and 1 bronze at the Olympic Games 2000 and 2004), 9 worldtitles, 2 times winnar of the Female Tour de France and 39 national titles. "I support the main goals of Ukengee: installing computers and launching internet in the ‘rural areas’ of East Africa. I hope this communities can come in touch with the information society and therefore enhance the chances of better education and living conditions".
Ed Nijpels was Dutch Minister of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment (1986-1989), Mayor of the town Breda (1990-1995) and the Queens Commissioner for the provence Friesland (1999-2008) and now Ambassador of the Ukengee Foundation (Jan. 2009)
